ABOUT THE PROJECT
We have created a data system from scratch, customized to the Weizmann Institute's needs for Web and Mobile (Android & IOS) that collects medical information and data securely, including data management and keeping data in a form accessible to information processors. This is a project of Professor Eran Segal, a computational biologist at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Over the last few years, Prof. Segal was working on developing quantitative models for all kinds of levels of gene regulation, including chromatin and transcription.
Unlike tests performed at the HMO where most tests are performed on unhealthy patients and there is no uniform set of tests, here in this project a large and uniform data collection is performed on healthy patients. The main goal of the project is to find out whether in a decade or two it will be possible to make an early prediction of diseases even at a stage when the patient's metrics appear to be normal according to algorithms and artificial intelligence and a combination of additional tests.
The system we have developed for this project connects simultaneously to several information sources (API connection) and includes a convenient and user-friendly user experience, Including for example Advanced Search and SMS authentication.
